| General |
EFB-Pilot is
a Palm Pilot application that allows the pilot to perform:
 | All aircraft specific checklists using the
automated challenge and response method
|
| Weight & Balance |
Items are either "checked off" or "skipped".
Skipped items reappear at the end of the list after all other items have
been completed. When all items have been completed the program holds
until prompted to continue to the next checklist.
"Once-A-Day" items can be included as well. The
program keeps track of these items and they re-appear automatically on the
checklist the following day or when the pilot chooses "Reset Once-A-Day
Items".
Checklists can be made by the end-user or a checklist can be purchased
from CAVU. There is no additional charge for creating the checklists
if we do not have the model*. The end-user can modify the order of displayed
items or the text of expanded explanations (or additional notes that the
pilot wishes to enter). A CheckMate hard plastic checklist can be
added as a backup.
Weight & Balance stores the aircraft's stations, arms and default
weights, which can be overwritten. |

| Large display |
Each item is easy to read and
displays both the checklist you are in, the item within the checklist and
the correct response. Note also that the selected aircraft is also
displayed. Checklist can be scrolled by pressing the left of right arrow
symbols.
Buttons are large enough to allow the checklists to
be completed without a stylus. |

| Emergency Checklists
|
Emergency checklists are displayed
in red and can be selected at anytime. The
little magnifying glass symbol to the left of the correct response indicates
that an expanded explanation exists for this item. |

| Expanded Explanations |
Expanded explanations are
notes from the actual checklist by the manufacturer OR notes of special
interest that were added by the pilot. |

| Weight & Balance |
Perform W&B easily. Simply
enter the weight at each station. No need to re-enter station arms or
descriptions. Fuel can be added as gallons or pounds (your preference
is saved automatically)
Results are displayed along with the allowable limits at that weight.
Out of range results are appropriately flagged.

| Limitations |
All types of limitation entries can
be added to your database; from V speeds to tire pressures to baggage
compartment weight limits. All those hard to remember, or find,
numbers, now in one easy to access location. |

| System Requirements |
Palm OS version 3.0 to
5.0+. Palm Pilot device or compatible such as Handspring Visor or the
Sony PDA.
Any PDA with a 2MB capacity can be used.
The databases can be placed onto a Memory Stick, SD or MMC expansion card
by utilizing our Expansion Card Utility.
Multiple aircraft can be installed on a 2MB device depending upon
available space and the type of aircraft installed. Contact CAVU for further
details.
PC or MAC computer running Palm Desktop software (comes with PDA).
Installation on MAC requires Windows emulator.
